Our Little Big Miracle

Rejoice with us as we celebrate the healing of little Bozhidar. He is from the village of Yastrebovo in Bulgaria and Gopi is his pastor. The pastor’s wife Reni wrote his story and we all celebrate with them. To God be the glory!

Our little big miracle

His name is Bozhidar, and in Bulgarian it means “Gift from God”. Six years ago, when he was 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. It is scary for any parent to hear this diagnosis about their child. For us, as a church of the Living God, it was clear that many prayers with sincere faith would be needed, many tears would be shed and support would be needed for Bozhidar’s family – spiritually and financially.

The next five years were marked by numerous hospital stays, emergency procedures, life-saving medications and many sleepless nights. The church continued to pray and fast. Sometimes the despair and the feeling of losing the battle felt so close to us. But our hero did not give up! Every time when we saw his smile in church, it was as if Life was smiling through him and reminding us that there is no greater miracle than Him.

And here we are today – after 5 years of treatment, we already have an official document from the doctors that Bozhidar is perfectly healthy. This little boy overcame the deadly disease with God’s help. And even today, when I see him, God smiles at me through his eyes and reminds me that nothing is impossible for the one who believes in Him.
