Dear friends and family:
I thank God that once again He has given me the privilege to come back to the Balkans. I arrived in Athens two weeks ago. I was so happy to see some of our partners in the Ministry. The first was my friend Jennifer with whom we have been ministering for at least twenty years. She is a sister from Scotland who has dedicated her life to the Greeks for over 50 years and works through the Evangelical Free Church in Lipasmata, Athens. She is also working among the Albanians in Greece and within Albania. May the Lord bless her and give her strength to continue!

The next day Sunday, I visited the B’ Evangelical Church in Athens, our partners in Ministry with refugees. They are the first ones to support Ukrainian refugees.

B’ Evangelical Church youth
By God’s providence, the youth of the church were sharing their recent Mission trip’s experience. One of the girls was showing a video of an interview she had made with a young pastor in N. Macedonia. She wanted to know from him how he survived, and still survives, the death of his young wife leaving behind a teenage daughter. I could not believe that she was interviewing the same pastor that we visited and helped over the years. In fact, we helped when she came to St. Luke’s Christian Hospital in Thessaloniki, Greece for treatments. The Lord chose to take her home.

Gopi and Reni
A week ago I came from Athens to the Ministry House in Litochoro, Greece. The place looked great! Our wonderful grounds keeper Benny does an excellent job keeping the place in order. In addition, a sister in Christ came ahead of me and cleaned both houses. Everything was ready to welcome me!
Three days later Gopi and Reni came from Bulgaria to pick up their boxes! It was so good to see them and spend the weekend with them. In the meantime, Benny and I are delivering boxes to others. I thank God that I feel very strong and I am able to keep up with the tasks before me.
Prayer request:
Please be praying for the situation among everyone. I find that people are very discouraged. The economy is dreadful. (I know it is in the U.S. as well). People cannot provide even for their daily needs. Because of the war in the Ukraine the needs are increasing. Gas in Greece is equivalent to $10/gallon. The utilities quadrupled. Unemployment is high!
Having said this, please pray with me that Christians will stay firm in their faith!
In Christ’s love, Vula
Dear friends and family,
Praise the Lord with us for He has done great things. The following letter is addressed to our Board but in reality includes all of you. All of you that prayed and supported The Macedonian Outreach all these years. All glory to Jesus!

From: Gospodin Kolev
To: The Macedonian Outreach
Subject: Blessed 2021
Dear Board of Macedonian Outreach,
The past year of 2021 was a difficult but blessed one. Many of us have lost loved ones. We limited most of our contacts, we learned not to hug, greet, touch. Now we keep our distance, talk through masks, we don’t see smiles and we only talk with our eyes.
Covid 19 conquered our churches and divided people in a way we never thought possible. Nevertheless, God remained faithful and kept everything under control. For those faithful who sincerely sought His will, the Lord blessed the work of their hands and opened doors for service. The work on the projects in the village of Yastrebovo and the village of Pamukchii has not stopped even for a day.
The village of Yastrebovo is a true oasis of God’s care and love. The children go to school, the families have homes, the parents work. The church is open to every need of the people. And this winter, thanks to Macedonian Outreach, we have the opportunity to help families in need of firewood. Children and young people were actively involved in the preparation of the program on the occasion of Christmas.
In the village of Pamukchii, six houses were built for poor families with children. We have come a long way from the construction of an outdoor drinking water supply system, through the construction of residential buildings, and now we are waiting for electricity for the buildings. Then we will have permits to use the houses and accommodate families in need.
2021 was a year of construction. We built houses, built relationships, and we believe we have built on our trust in God. The kingdom of God is growing. Thank you, Macedonian Outreach, for your trust and financial support in these difficult and uncertain times.
You are always in our prayers!
Gopi and Reni

Dear Family and Friends: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR
Here we are almost at the end of another year but I did not want it to go by before I had a chance to say a very big THANK YOU. First and foremost to the Lord, The Macedonian Outreach Board, all the volunteers, and all of you who participated in prayer or deed in helping those in need. THANK YOU for another amazing year of serving and glorifying God.
Enjoy the letter below from the Director of our sponsored children in N. Macedonia.

Update on Roma children in Saraj, December 2021
We are extremely grateful and amazed by the wonderful support and care that Macedonian Outreach has for our children and the ministry.
It took some time for us to observe and reflect on the ministry during the pandemic. The food boxes have proven to be the most needed during this difficult time. Meeting and sharing in these risky times brought one thing to our attention: entire families felt the love of the Lord and wanted to know more about Him. It was amazing to see how the children were eager to put the lesson of generosity, which they had seen and learned, into practical acts of lovingkindness. During the food box distributions, more and more children wanted to help and be part of serving all the families in the village. We are so blessed to serve these children and their families. Our prayer is that the Lord, through the children’s love for Him, transforms the hearts of the parents and brings them to Him.
A lot of times, Roma ministry has tremendous challenges. With the love and great devotion that Macedonian Outreach has for our children, all those challenges get easier, because we know that we have a family who prays for us and the Roma children.
Thank you, Macedonian Outreach, for everything that you have done.
Blessings,
Pastor Sokrat
Dear family and friends:
Rejoice with us as we celebrate the healing of little Bozhidar. He is from the village of Yastrebovo in Bulgaria and Gopi is his pastor. The pastor’s wife Reni wrote his story and we all celebrate with them. To God be the glory!

Our little big miracle
His name is Bozhidar, and in Bulgarian it means “Gift from God”. Six years ago, when he was 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. It is scary for any parent to hear this diagnosis about their child. For us, as a church of the Living God, it was clear that many prayers with sincere faith would be needed, many tears would be shed and support would be needed for Bozhidar’s family – spiritually and financially.
The next five years were marked by numerous hospital stays, emergency procedures, life-saving medications and many sleepless nights. The church continued to pray and fast. Sometimes the despair and the feeling of losing the battle felt so close to us. But our hero did not give up! Every time when we saw his smile in church, it was as if Life was smiling through him and reminding us that there is no greater miracle than Him.
And here we are today – after 5 years of treatment, we already have an official document from the doctors that Bozhidar is perfectly healthy. This little boy overcame the deadly disease with God’s help. And even today, when I see him, God smiles at me through his eyes and reminds me that nothing is impossible for the one who believes in Him.
