We had the privilege of attending the dedication of the new homes that were built with the support of many generous donors of Macedonian Outreach. Upon arriving in the village of Pamukchii, we instantly felt the love of Jesus shining through the hearts of the people there. Despite the heartbreak of seeing so much need, and the frustration of all the difficult red tape they have to go through to get the homes finished, there was hope and joy in the faces of the children, and faithfulness of the adults.

During the dedication ceremony, we were encouraged by the worship music, the inspiring prayers and words from Gopi, Vula, Pandelis and Glenn Hammill. What a joy it was to hear the children’s laughter – “Where the laughter of children runs, there God is smiling nearby.”

It was a wonderful day that couldn’t have happened without all the hard work of so many, but especially Reni, who worked tirelessly organizing the event. With faith, we look forward to the time when all the homes will have electricity and the families can move in to their new homes. What a blessing that we were able to be a part of this touching celebration.  We thank Vula for this wonderful opportunity.

Blessings, Diane, Janet & Linda 2025

Dear family and friends,

We are forwarding to all of you a letter that we received from the Evangelical Church in Drama, Greece. We have been in partnership with this church for years to meet many needs in the area, but especially the needs of refugees.

——————-

Dear friends,

As this year comes to an end, we are really grateful to God and to all of you who pray for us and stand by us with encouragement and financial support.

Over the past months, the team in Drama has continued supporting Ukrainian refugees with food, financial assistance, and psychological counseling. Food provisions secured in September, through the support of The Macedonian Outreach, are expected to last through June. The team also provides regular spiritual support by distributing Christian literature and, in some cases, refugees have begun attending church meetings.

Yulia, one of the beneficiaries, has found part-time legal employment and continues cleaning for the church. She remains under online specialist care for depression, partly prompted by her daughter’s return to Ukraine for studies.

Greek language lessons continue at the Support Center for both adults and teenagers; both classes are offered for two hours per week. Attendance has fluctuated due to changes in beneficiaries’ circumstances, such as one family welcoming a new baby.

No other organization in Drama is currently offering similar assistance to Ukrainian refugees. Additionally, a new outreach has opened through visits to the Nikiforos prison, where several Ukrainian and other foreign inmates have shown interest in spiritual support. A formal request has been submitted to hold bi-monthly meetings in the prison. Please pray for the opening of this door as well.

We pray that what we sow through this ministry – the offering of Christ’s love and support, as well as the New Testaments and the Christian literature at the Support Center – will grow spiritually in their hearts.
